I have been hearing about the reality TV show called “Emotional Athyachar”. Read couple of News articles also. While browsing through the channel on a jobless Sunday, I came across this show airing on UTV Bindass. I thought what the heck!! Let’s watching it!! I never watch Reality shows, but I thought I will make an exception.
This particular episode was about “Hunter being hunted”. So out so called boyfriend wants to get a loyalty test done on his girlfriend. So the TV crew plants a hunky TV start to woo the girl. The girl came out clean. It seems that she has been the only girl who has come out clean … But the crew realized that the boyfriend is flirting with a crew member. The stress on that, and finally the result was the boyfriend cheated. Then there was huge drama, fist fight and swearing.
But picture abhi baakee hai mere dost..
Next episode, they show this same couple. They are back together. She accepted him back in her life. And she brought a friend who wanted to do loyalty test her boyfriend, who again didn’t come out clean.
People say this show is opening eyes of those in relationship. But I feel they are actually killing the trust that people have on each other. Yes it’s true that 90% of the people who came in show were cheaters. But that is less the 1 % of total population.
My Question
1. We already have terrorism and politics to kill our trust. Do we need more reasons to hate each other?
2. Seeing all this, will you be able to trust the next person who comes close to you???

Emotional Athyachar - Do we really need it
Yesterday while chatting with my friend I came across one incident. He was telling me about how his friend stopped drinking because of his wife. So I said “what’s wrong in that “. His answer was “She never asked him to “.
You know how men always say” we are not mind readers.” Well it is actually true, at least 99.9% of them are not and the rest 0.1 % are also not, they just get lucky with their guesses. They have no clue what’s going on in our mind. And we always think “They don’t understand!!”
Our hero here was lucky with his guess. How did he know she didn’t want him to drink??? Thats the famous tale of “Emotional Athyachar.”(Emotional Blackmail). He was recently married, happy and joyful. But after few months he saw that his beautiful wife was crying frequently. Sitting in one corner, not letting him know why.
Worried husband came asked my friend what to do, the guy who never had a girl friend in his life had nothing to say. Finally the sweet hubby found the pattern; he saw that she cried only on those days when he came back home after drinking. One day he asked her, “Honey do you cry because I drink “. She said nothing but the light reflected from her tears said it all. He sighed in relief “You should have told me this earlier, I would have stopped that moment itself. I am not addicted “.
This story had a happy ending, not because he read her mind. He analyzed the patterns in her behavior.
My questions to all the girls are
1. Is the guy sleeping next to you is as Patient as this one to analyze?
2. Why can’t we just go ahead and tell him what we feel, why do we need to use tears as weapon?
3. Why we expect him to read our mind?
My questions to the guys are
1. When we are upset, why don’t you come and ask us what happened?
2. And if we change and tell you what we feel, will you reciprocate like this guy?
3. And if we stop crying, will you give us more reasons to smile?

Speeding through the Jungle
Morning breeze was chilled. Crossing a ring road, I saw 2 cars facing each other, Dismantled face of the cars made it clear that someone was not careful. Someone was speeding.... as the auto passed by the cars, I left my thoughts with the car and was trying to remember what all I had to do in office.
Hmmm I had to return my friend's call. I was fooling around the roads, when he called last evening.
This guy was one of the most interestingly talkative men I have come across but today he is silent, giving me one word answers for all my questions. Mr. Martian was in his cave, but I being a Venusian was not ready to give up until I know what was going on. I said “Come on dude, what happened, are you ok??” He " Yeah not feeling well, recovering " I " Recovering from what , you were fine couple of days back" He " Well I kind of had an accident ".
And then the story starts ... 4 guys in a Zen at 120 to 140, I wonder what good will come out of it. 3 of them, safe divers, drive with utter caution. The 4th one was the culprit; he takes the car at high speed in the Jungle of Wayanad. Didn't see the turn .By the time he realized that it was the end of the road, it was too late. He tried turning the car, but at that high speed even the steering gave up on them. The car took off from the road flew over a small canal and banged on to the concrete wall on the other side.
All of them, in Shock. The back seat passengers checked their injuries, and thanked the lord for saving their life. The car jerked again by the front door opening, the driver walked out of the car. Before they could ask “you ok", the driver falls on his face. They ran towards the motionless body on the jungle floor. They turned him, only to see his face red with blood, and more red oozing out of his mouth.
Suddenly they remember that there was one more person in the Car, they looked back and saw him, with his face with blood and pieces of windshield. One of the back seaters ran to check on him, it was his bother.
The help arrived in half hour. When they reached the local hospital, the doctor had another tale to tell. The driver's tongue was cut in half and the hospital didn't have facilities to attend to that. The doctor checked on others, the injuries were minor, just that one had all on his face.
They had to save their friend; they went to the next city hospital. After more than 3 hours operation and 40 stitches just on his tongue our thrilled driver is recovering. No one know if he will be able to talk the same was he use to talk. Or look the way he use to look. But everyone is happy, because they know it could have been worse.
Speed thrills, it actually does. Even I had my experiences. But next time I get on a machine with wheels, I will think “Do I wanna come back home in one piece or several pieces?”
Every time I will see a damaged car. I will remember someone was having thrill of his life, which I don't know might have taken his life.
